Social Circle Redskins (Social Circle, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Redskins now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they host Prince Avenue Christian for a 1A D-I Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Social Circle will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 17-6.

With the loss, Effingham County falls to 18-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Grovetown (Grovetown, GA) to battle the Warriors in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 13-8. Grovetown lost 9-2 in their recent league challenge against South Effingham (Guyton, GA)
