Elkhorn North (Elkhorn, NE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The now own a 11-11 record. They take the field next when they host Bennington for a B District 3 challenge on Monday, September 26. Elkhorn North will battle a Badgers squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Norris (Firth, NE). The Badgers record now stands at 16-9.

With the loss, Hastings falls to 18-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lincoln Northwest (Lincoln, NE) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 24. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-17. Lincoln Northwest lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Freeman (Adams, NE)
