The St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE) softball the host Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), 9-6 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bluehawks (25-2) will now prepare for their bout against Wayne (Wayne, NE). The Blue Devils go into the non-league bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Wayne was routed by NEN (Wisner, NE), 13-7, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Polk County for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 24. Gering will confront a Slammers squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Blue River (David City, NE). The Slammers record now stands at 18-8.
