In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes softball team scored a nice 17-1 win over the Southwest DeKalb Panthers.

Coming up next, the Purple Hurricanes encounter the Eastside Eagles (Covington, GA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 24. Monroe Area will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 10-6 record after their 5-3 league win over Loganville (Loganville, GA).
