Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting Ansley/Litchfield Spartans (Ansley, NE), 2-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels (Arcadia, NE) in a C2 District 9 match, on Tuesday, September 27. Burwell will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Rebels come into the match with a 3-14 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Mullen (Mullen, NE).

With the loss, Ansley/Litchfield drops to 7-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host Central Valley (Greeley, NE) to clash with the Cougars in a non-league match on Friday, September 30. The Cougars come into the match with a record of 7-8. Central Valley lost 3-0 in their recent non-league match against Cross County (Stromsburg, NE)
