The Harding Academy Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles to 1 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Evangelical Christian for a D II-A West 6 game on Tuesday, September 27. Harding Academy will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Hutchison (Memphis, TN). The Eagles record now stands at 8-8.

The Eagles (9-19) will now prepare for their game against Briarcrest Christian (Eads, TN). The Saints enter the D II-AA West game with a 29-6 record. In their last game, Briarcrest Christian nipped DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
