In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Kellis Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Sabino Sabercats.
The Cougars (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ). The Mustangs come into the 5A - Northwest battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Sunrise Mountain achieved victory over Centennial (Peoria, AZ), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Sabercats encounter the Joseph City Wildcats (Joseph City, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 24. Sabino will attempt to advance on its 15-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the battle with a 8-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Superior (Superior, AZ).
