In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mena Bearcats (Mena, AR) volleyball squad were winner over the host Van Buren Pointers (Van Buren, AR), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Bearcats face the Lakeside Rams (Hot Springs, AR) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 24. Mena will attempt to better on its 17-4 season record.

With the loss, Van Buren moves to 9-5 on the year. The Pointers travel to Russellville (Russellville, AR) to face the Cyclones in a 5A West contest on Tuesday, September 27. The Cyclones go into the contest with a record of 1-5. Russellville lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Marion (Marion, AR)
