The Stillwater Ponies held off the host Moorhead Spuds volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Ponies now have a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roseville for a Suburban East test on Monday, September 26. Stillwater will confront a Raiders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, MN). The Raiders record now stands at 11-3.
The Spuds (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Bemidji (Bemidji, MN). The Lumberjacks enter the Central Lakes test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Bemidji was nudged by Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN), 3-0, in a non-league test.
