Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Artesia Bulldogs (Artesia, NM) and the host Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), saw Artesia's soccer squad hold off Roswell by a score of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Lovington (Lovington, NM). The Wildcats enter the 4A District 4 battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Lovington was edged by Carlsbad (Carlsbad, NM), 4-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Coyotes confront the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a 5A District 4 battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Roswell will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record.
