With the win, Oakwood advances its record to 2-0 on the season.

The Cornjerkers now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milford for a test on Thursday, September 26. Hoopeston will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Beecher (Beecher, IL). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-1.
