Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA) and the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), saw North Cross's soccer squad hold off New Covenant by a count of 2-1.

The Raiders (11-1) will now prepare for their battle against Fork Union Military Academy (Fork Union, VA). The Blue Devils enter the non-league battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Fork Union Military Academy was edged by St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA), 9-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Gryphons confront the Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA) in a Blue Ridge Athletic battle, on Friday, September 27. New Covenant will attempt to upgrade on its 11-1 season record. The Bishops enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 5-1 league win over Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA).
