In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Lake Region Lakers volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Maranacook Black Bears.

The Lakers (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME). The Capers come into the Class B challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Cape Elizabeth beat Falmouth (Falmouth, ME), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Black Bears encounter the Camden Hills Windjammers (Rockport, ME) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 26. Maranacook will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Windjammers go into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Edward Little (Auburn, ME).
