Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Villa Joseph Marie Jems (Holland, PA) and the visiting William Penn Charter Quakers (Philadelphia, PA), saw Villa Joseph Marie's soccer squad hold off William Penn Charter by a count of 1-0.

The Jems (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA). The Magic come into the non-league test with a 6-1 record. In their last test, Mt. St. Joseph Academy nipped Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Quakers now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host St. Hubert Catholic for Girls for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27.
