With the defeat, Smithfield-Selma drops to 1-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Garner (Garner, NC) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 2. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Garner lost 44-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC)
