The Patriots (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Carmel Christian Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC), 1-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans meet the Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 25. Sun Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the test with a 9-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC).
