East Fairmont Bees (Fairmont, WV) fans went home happy Wednesday as they saw their soccer squad hold off the host Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV), 1-0 in a league outing.

The Bees (8-0) will now prepare for their outing against Buckhannon-Upshur (Buckhannon, WV). The Buccaneers enter the Big Ten outing with a 4-7 record. In their last outing, Buckhannon-Upshur tipped Brooke (Wellsburg, WV), 8-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Polar Bears confront the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 27. Fairmont Senior will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars enter the outing with a 3-7 record after their 5-1 league loss to Musselman (Inwood, WV).
