The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) and the visiting Central Gwinnett Black Knights (Lawrenceville, GA), observed Clarke Central's softball team prevail over Central Gwinnett by a tally of 11-1.

With the triumph, Clarke Central improves its record to 6-8 on the year. The Gladiators travel to Loganville (Loganville, GA) to face the Red Devils in a 5A Region 8 contest on Thursday, September 25. The Red Devils enter the contest with a record of 17-1. Loganville won 4-2 in their recent league contest against Jackson County (Jefferson, GA)

The Black Knights now hold a 1-21 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Shoals for a non-league bout on Monday, September 29. Central Gwinnett will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 17-1 league loss to North Oconee (Bogart, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-16.
