Fans at Wednesday's league contest between the Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) and the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), observed Bureau Valley's volleyball team top Abingdon/Avon by a count of 2-0.

The Storm (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Mendota (Mendota, IL). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Mendota was knocked off by Kewanee (Kewanee, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

The Tornadoes now own a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wethersfield for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 27. Abingdon/Avon will encounter a Flying Geese squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] (Woodhull, IL). The Flying Geese record now stands at 14-1.
