The Blaine Borderites edged the visiting Sedro-Woolley Cubs volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Wednesday's league game.
Next up, the Borderites face the Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest game, on Monday, September 29. Blaine will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Trojans go into the game with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Mount Vernon (Mount Vernon, WA).
The Cubs (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Lakewood (Arlington, WA). The Cougars go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest game with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Lakewood was nudged by Sehome (Bellingham, WA), 3-1, in a league outing.
