Fans at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Empire Ravens (Tucson, AZ) and the visiting Mountain View Mountain Lions (Tucson, AZ), observed Empire's volleyball team top Mountain View by a count of 3-1.

The Ravens (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ). The Lions enter the 3A - South contest with a 11-8 record.

Next, the Mountain Lions battle the Canyon del Oro Dorados (Tucson, AZ) in a 5A - Sonoran contest, on Thursday, September 25. Mountain View will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Dorados go into the battle with a 10-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ).
