Pennsylvania High School Volleyball - Slippery Rock over Hickory

September 24, 2025: Hermitage, PA 16148

In Wednesday's league challenge, the visiting Slippery Rock Rockets volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Hickory Hornets.

With the win, Slippery Rock advances its record to 14-4 on the season. The Rockets travel to Lakeview (Stoneboro, PA) to face the Sailors in a non-league test on Monday, September 29. The Sailors go into the test with a record of 9-3. Lakeview lost 3-1 in their recent non-league test against Saegertown (Saegertown, PA)

The Hornets now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mercer for a District 10 Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, September 30. Hickory will play a Mustangs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Oil City (Oil City, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-1.
