The Cony Rams held off the visiting Maranacook Black Bears volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league test.

The Rams now have a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Messalonskee for a Class B test on Wednesday, September 27. Cony will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 7-0.

The Black Bears (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Nokomis (Newport, ME). The Warriors enter the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Nokomis was nudged by Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME), 3-0, in a league test.
