Georgia High School Football - Mt. Zion defeats Cedar Grove

In Thursday's league match, the visiting Mt. Zion Bulldogs football team scored a nice 40-21 win over the Cedar Grove Saints.

With the win, Mt. Zion advances its record to 3-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Stone Mountain (Stone Mountain, GA) to play the Pirates in a AAA Region 5 battle on Thursday, October 2. The Pirates go into the battle with a record of 0-7. Stone Mountain lost 28-15 in their recent non-league battle against Salem (Conyers, GA)

The Saints now own a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stephenson for a AAA Region 5 match on Friday, October 3. Cedar Grove will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 42-41 league loss to North Clayton (College Park, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-1.
