Virginia High School Football - Hopewell crushed by Meadowbrook

Meadowbrook Monarchs (Richmond, VA) boosters were content Thursday as they observed their football squad smash the host Hopewell Blue Devils (Hopewell, VA), 48-13 in a league match.

The Monarchs (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Knights come into the Central match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Thomas Dale routed Prince George (Prince George, VA), 35-7, in a league match.

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Dinwiddie Generals (Dinwiddie, VA) in a Central battle, on Thursday, October 2. Hopewell will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Generals go into the battle with a 5-0 record after their 36-0 league win over Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA).
