New York High School Football - Sandy Creek nudges Mt. Markham

September 25, 2025: West Winfield, NY 13491

In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Sandy Creek Comets football team scored a tight 8-7 win over the Mt. Markham Mustangs.

With the win, Sandy Creek advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Comets host Lowville (Lowville, NY) to confront the Red Raiders in a Section 3 D - 1 match on Friday, October 3. The Red Raiders come into the match with a record of 4-0. Lowville won 40-8 in their recent league match against Beaver River (Beaver Falls, NY)

Coming up next, the Mustangs confront the Herkimer Magicians (Herkimer, NY) in a Section 3 D - 1 match, on Saturday, October 4. Mt. Markham will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Magicians go into the battle with a 1-3 record after their 60-8 league loss to Cato-Meridian (Cato, NY).
