The Masconomet Regional Chieftains football team scored 30 points and held the host Danvers Falcons to 28 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Chieftains now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 2. Masconomet Regional will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 27-8 non-league loss to Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA). The Hawks record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Danvers drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Falcons host Austin Prep (Reading, MA) to face the Cougars in a non-league game on Thursday, October 2. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 0-0.
