Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Lake Forest Scouts (Lake Forest, IL), 42-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Lake Zurich advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Bears host Deerfield (Deerfield, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 0-2.

The Scouts (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL). The Patriots go into the non-league challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Stevenson toppled Waukegan (Waukegan, IL), 61-8, in a non-league challenge.
