Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Washingtonville Wizards (Washingtonville, NY), 20-12 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Minisink Valley improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY) to play the Warriors in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 4. The Warriors come into the test with a record of 2-1. Our Lady of Lourdes won 30-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY)

The Wizards (0-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Warwick (Warwick, NY). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Warwick lost by Goshen Central (Goshen, NY), 27-7, in a non-league challenge.
