The Shadow Ridge Mustangs ran past the host Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate football squad by a count of 40-9 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Mustangs now hold a 6-0 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a test on Saturday, October 4. Shadow Ridge will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 44-16 non-league win over Canyon Springs (North Las Vegas, NV). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-1.

With the defeat, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Pirate travel to Sierra Vista (Las Vegas, NV) to meet the Mountain Lions in a test on Saturday, October 4. The Mountain Lions come into the test with a record of 4-2. Sierra Vista won 54-0 in their recent league challenge against Del Sol (Las Vegas, NV)
