The Montpelier Solons smashed the host Spaulding Crimson Tide soccer squad by a margin of 8-0 in Thursday's league bout.
The Solons now hold a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Thetford Academy for a Capital bout on Saturday, September 27. Montpelier will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Spaulding (Barre, VT). The Panthers record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Spaulding moves to 1-7 on the year. The Crimson tide travel to Harwood (Moretown, VT) to play the Highlanders in a Capital bout on Saturday, September 27. The Highlanders go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Harwood won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Stowe (Stowe, VT)
