Speedway Sparkplugs (Speedway, IN) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad prevail over the visiting Tri-West Hendricks Bruins (Lizton, IN), 5-1 in a league outing.

The Sparkplugs (8-4) will now prepare for their outing against Monrovia (Monrovia, IN). The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 0-13 record. In their last outing, Monrovia by Greenwood Christian Academy (Greenwood, IN), 15-0, in a non-league test.

The Bruins now have a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Triton Central for a test on Saturday, September 27. Tri-West Hendricks will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 3-1 league win over Beech Grove (Beech Grove, IN). The Tigers record now stands at 4-9.
