Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Ione/Arlington Cardinals (Ione, OR) and the visiting Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler (Mitchell, OR), observed Ione/Arlington's volleyball team top Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler by a tally of 3-0.
The Cardinals (13-3) will now prepare for their contest against Sherman (Moro, OR). The Huskies enter the 1A Big Sky challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, Sherman was beaten by South Wasco County (Maupin, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the face the Dayville/Monument/Long Creek Tigers (Dayville, OR) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 26. Mitchell/Spray/Wheeler will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Tigers go into the test with a 0-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Prairie City (Prairie City, OR).
