The Manistee Mariners volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host St. Mary Eagles to 1 in the Mariners non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Mariners now have a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Oakridge for a Western Michigan game on Tuesday, September 30. Manistee will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Western Michigan Christian (Muskegon, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.

The Eagles (1-12) will now prepare for their game against Traverse City Christian (Traverse City, MI). The Sabres go into the Cherryland game with a 16-8 record. In their last game, Traverse City Christian nudged Mio HomeSchool (Mio, MI), 2-0, in a non-league game.
