In Thursday's league challenge, the host Mesick Bulldogs volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Marion Eagles.
The Bulldogs (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Northern Michigan Christian (McBain, MI). The Comets go into the non-league test with a 8-6 record.
The Eagles now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grand Traverse Academy for a West Michigan D test on Thursday, October 2. Marion will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Baldwin (Baldwin, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-9.
