In Thursday's non-league match, the Marquette Catholic Blazers (Michigan City, IN) volleyball squad overcame the host Whiting Oilers (Whiting, IN), by a count of 3-1.

Next up, the Blazers battle the Hammond Central Wolves (Hammond, IN) in a non-league match, on Monday, September 29. Marquette Catholic will attempt to move on its 17-7 season record. The Wolves go into the battle with a 12-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Gary West Side (Gary, IN).

The Oilers now own a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Merrillville for a non-league battle on Monday, September 29. Whiting will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Pirates record now stands at 8-15.
