The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars volleyball squad scored 3 points and limited the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans to 2 in the Fighting Cougars league victory on Thursday.

Next up, the Fighting Cougars confront the Wessington Springs Spartans (Wessington Springs, SD) in a non-league game, on Saturday, September 27. McCook Central/Montrose will attempt to advance on its 6-7 season record. The Spartans enter the game with a 8-6 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lower Brule (Lower Brule, SD).

The Titans (5-10) will now prepare for their game against Ethan (Ethan, SD). The Rustlers enter the non-league bout with a 12-4 record. In their last bout, Ethan nipped St. Mary (Dell Rapids, SD), 3-1, in a league bout.
