The St. Cecilia Bluehawks routed the host Boone Central/Newman Grove Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 14-5 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bluehawks (27-2) will now prepare for their battle against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE). The Bluejays go into the non-league battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Guardian Angels Central Catholic was routed by Yutan-Mead (Yutan, NE), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
The Cardinals now possess a 10-14 record. They play next when they host St. Paul for a C District 8 battle on Thursday, September 29. Boone Central/Newman Grove will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-7 non-league win over York (York, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 18-6.
