The Rootstown Rovers volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host United Golden Eagles to 1 in the Rovers non-league victory on Monday.

The Rovers now have a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to John F. Kennedy Catholic for a Portage Trail - County game on Tuesday, September 27. Rootstown will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Ursuline (Youngstown, OH). The Eagles record now stands at 5-8.

The Golden Eagles (8-8) will now prepare for their game against Valley Christian (Youngstown, OH). The Eagles enter the Eastern Ohio Athletic game with a 0-12 record.
