Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the host Midd-West Mustangs (Middleburg, PA), 4-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Northeast Bradford Panthers (Rome, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 2. Hughesville will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record.

The Mustangs now have a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loyalsock Township for a PIAA District IV-AA challenge on Thursday, September 28. Midd-West will confront a Lancers team coming off a 10-1 league loss to Milton (Milton, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 1-9.
