Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres (Sartell, MN) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Moorhead Spuds (Moorhead, MN), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sabres face the St. Michael-Albertville Knights (Albertville, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, October 2. Sartell-St. Stephen will attempt to better on its 9-0 season record.

The Spuds now have a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Brainerd for a Class AA Section 8 challenge on Thursday, September 28. Moorhead will face a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Willmar (Willmar, MN). The Warriors record now stands at 3-8.
