Jefferson City Jays (Jefferson City, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Battle Spartans (Columbia, MO), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Jays now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they host Owensville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 28.

With the loss, Battle falls to 4-15 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Park Hill (Kansas City, MO) to battle the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 4. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 9-11.
