The Academy Wildcats (Westminster, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Denver East Angels (Denver, CO), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peak to Peak for a 3A Denver Metro challenge on Thursday, September 28. The Academy will face a Pumas squad coming off a 20-4 league win over Jefferson Academy (Broomfield, CO). The Pumas record now stands at 7-13.

With the loss, Denver East falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Angels travel to Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO) to face the Spartans in a 5A/4A/3A Denver Prep challenge on Wednesday, September 27. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 14-2. Thomas Jefferson won 13-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Mountain Range (Westminster, CO)
