Savannah Savages (Savannah, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Andrew Cardinals (Rosendale, MO), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Savages now own a 14-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lafayette for a Class 3 District 16 challenge on Thursday, September 28. Savannah will battle a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 12-9 non-league win over Falls City (Falls City, NE). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 11-11.

With the loss, North Andrew falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to North Platte (Dearborn, MO) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 30. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 14-5. North Platte won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against East Buchanan (Gower, MO)
