Silex Owls (Silex, MO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Van-Far Indians (Vandalia, MO), 14-3 in a league challenge.

The Owls now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host North Callaway for a Class 2 District 3 challenge on Thursday, September 28. Silex will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 6-5 league loss to Louisiana (Louisiana, MO). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 14-10.

With the loss, Van-Far falls to 2-12 on the campaign. The Indians host Community (Laddonia, MO) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 28. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 16-6. Community lost 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Monroe City (Monroe City, MO)
