The Red Panthers go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Palmer (Marks, MS).

With the loss, North Panola moves to 9-4 on the year. The Cougars host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS) to battle the Hawks in a Class 3 Region 2 contest on Thursday, October 5. The Hawks go into the contest with a record of 4-5.
