The Phillipsburg Panthers volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the host Russell Broncos to 1 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Panthers now have a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Scott for a non-league game on Saturday, September 30. Phillipsburg will meet a Beavers team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ulysses (Ulysses, KS). The Beavers record now stands at 11-8.

The Broncos (14-8) will now prepare for their game against Thomas More Prep-Marian (Hays, KS). The Monarchs enter the Mid-Continent game with a 8-12 record. In their last game, Thomas More Prep-Marian nipped Riley County (Riley, KS), 2-0, in a non-league game.
