The Gretna Hawks football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Appomattox County Raiders to 7 in the Hawks league triumph on Thursday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Dan River for a Dogwood test on Friday, October 4. Gretna will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 33-9 non-league loss to Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-3.
With the defeat, Appomattox County drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Altavista (Altavista, VA) to clash with the Colonels in a Dogwood test on Friday, October 4. The Colonels come into the test with a record of 4-0. Altavista won 64-13 in their recent league test against William Campbell (Naruna, VA)
