The Logan County Cougars walloped the host Calloway County Lakers football team by a score of 40-7 in Thursday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars face the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado (Paducah, KY) in a 4A District 1 challenge, on Friday, October 4. Logan County will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Blue Tornado go into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 42-16 league win over Allen County-Scottsville (Scottsville, KY).

The Lakers (0-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Hopkinsville (Hopkinsville, KY). The Tigers go into the 4A District 1 challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Hopkinsville was ripped by Warren East (Bowling Green, KY), 41-32, in a league challenge.
