Winston County Yellowjackets (Double Springs, AL) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Curry Yellowjackets (Jasper, AL), 46-0 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Winston County improves its record to 6-0 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Lexington (Lexington, AL) to play the Golden Bears in a 2A Region 8 battle on Friday, October 4. The Golden Bears go into the battle with a record of 4-2. Lexington won 21-7 in their recent non-league battle against Wilson (Florence, AL)

The Yellowjackets now have a 0-6 record. They play next when they host Good Hope for a 4A Region 5 battle on Friday, October 4. Curry will play a Raiders team coming off a 27-0 non-league win over Addison (Addison, AL). The Raiders record now stands at 5-1.
